File Formats

Electronic files are preferred when submitting materials. Acceptable program formats for ads in The Georgia PROFESSIONAL AGENT are as follows:

1. PDF files set to print-quality specifications:

• Minimum resolution 300 dpi.
• Fonts must be converted to outlines.
• Convert all images to CMYK in their original format before creating the PDF file.

2. Quark document for Mac or PC:

• All art/graphics files must be included.
• All screen and printer fonts must be included.
• If any .eps files are used, fonts embedded in the file must also be included unless they have previously been converted to paths.
• All graphics should be CYMK, not RGB.
• Please include a full-size proof that is created from the finished file (suggested).

3. Illustrator files for Mac or PC:

• Save Illustrator file as an .eps file.
• All graphics used in the original file must be included (tiffs, embedded .eps, logos, etc.).
• Fonts (embedded in .eps files and/or used in the document) must be converted to paths before the .eps file is created. This is especially important when sending a PC file.
• All graphics should be CYMK, not RGB.
• Please include a full-size proof that is created from the finished file (suggested).

4. Photoshop TIFF files:

• Final size must be equal to ad size.
• Minimum resolution 300 dpi.

5. Corel Draw for PC or Mac and Adobe InDesign files:

• Must be created as an .eps or PDF file with fonts converted to outlines/paths or embedded in the PDF.

Ad Sizes

• Full Page (all full page ads may include a bleed at no additional cost):
  • Without bleed: 8" W x 10.5" H
  • With bleed: 7.5" W x 10" H live size (put important content here);
  • 8.5" W x 11" H trim size (actual size of our publication);
  • 8.75” x 11.25” bleed size (includes ¼” bleed border on all sides)
• Outside Back Cover: 7.5" W x 8" H
• 1/2 Page Horizontal: 7.5" W x 4.375" H
• 1/2 Page Vertical: 3.5" W x 9.25" H
• 1/4 Page: 3.75" W x 4.5" H
• 1/8 Page Vertical: 1.75" W x 4.75" H

Colors

The Georgia PROFESSIONAL AGENT is printed using 4-color process.

Printing

The Georgia PROFESSIONAL AGENT is printed on sheet-fed offset on 70-pound coated white stock. All materials supplied should be prepared to allow for a 15% dot gain on press.
